Established Brijshyam Kalakunj Kathak Kendra in 2020 in Auckland. The school is a sister branch of India-based Brijshyam Kalakunj, founded by Mamta Maharaj (daughter of Birju Maharaj). Vision is to preserve and propagate pure kathak dance, following the authentic Lucknow gharana tradition. Emphasizes tala, layakari, abhinaya, chakkars, and classical aesthetics.
