Pratibha Kini is a passionate Bharatanatyam dancer, performer, and teacher based in Bengaluru, India. She began her dance journey at an early age of four or five, receiving her initial training and guidance from her mother and Guru Vidushi Prabha Kini. Pratibha Kini has dedicated over two decades to the art form, completing her Pre-Vidwath examination and Rangapravesham. She is currently pursuing a Masters (MA) degree in Bharatanatyam from the Kalai Kaviri College of Fine Arts, Trichy. Her training also includes attending workshops by esteemed artists such as Guru Bragha Bessel, Guru Janaki Rangarajan, and Guru B Bhanumathi. As a performer, Pratibha Kini is an auditioned A Grade artist of Doordarshan. She has graced numerous prestigious stages, including Hampi Utsava, the Natyaanjali Festival in Chidambaram (2012 & 2013), and the Articulate International World Dance Day Festival in Mysore. She also performs in programs organized by the Department of Kannada and Culture, Government of Karnataka, and the ICCR. Pratibha Kini is also a dedicated teacher, leading "Pratibha Naatyalaya" in Bengaluru, where she has been conducting Bharatanatyam classes for over five years. Her teaching methodology emphasizes proper expression, postures, and movements, and she incorporates strength and conditioning workshops and yoga sessions for dancers. Beyond her dance career, she also works as an IT professional at Nutanix. She maintains an active online presence, utilizing her YouTube channel to educate dancers on fitness and Bharatanatyam techniques. Awards & Honours: Scholarship (2015).
