Priti Gosar-Patil is an accomplished Bharatanatyam artist, choreographer, and devoted teacher based in Richmond, Virginia, USA. Her journey in Bharatanatyam began at Kalasadan in Mumbai, India. She later continued her training under Smt. Uma Chetty, Artistic Director of Apsaras Arts Dance Group in Richmond, VA. Gosar-Patil has also had the privilege of learning from legendary gurus such as the Padmabhushan Natyacharya duo Smt. Shanta & Shri V P Dhananjayan, and Smt. Sucheta Bhide-Chapekar. With over 15 years of teaching experience at Apsaras Arts Dance Group, Priti Gosar-Patil founded Kalāsattva in 2021, where she serves as the Founder and Artistic Director. Through Kalāsattva, she offers regular Bharatanatyam classes and aims to bridge cultures and hearts by sharing the timeless beauty of this Indian classical dance form. She has taught master classes at institutions like VCU, UoR, and the Center for Performing Arts, and has served as a Teaching Artist with the Virginia Commission of Arts & Young Audiences of Virginia. A registered artist with Young Audiences of Virginia for Indian Classical Dance, Priti Gosar-Patil has guided 28 of her students to present full Margam recitals or Arangetrams. Beyond her performance and teaching, Gosar-Patil contributed to the academic side of dance by translating Smt. Sucheta Bhide-Chapekar's Marathi book "Nrityatmika" into English. This translation was published in December 2018 by Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar and has received international acclaim. An alumna of IIT Mumbai, Priti Gosar-Patil also has a background in the telecom industry and serves as the Academic Supervisor of US Gurukulam and Principal of the world's first online Samskritam Immersion school in the US, Agastya Gurukulam.
