Priyakshee Kataky is an Indian classical dancer specializing in Sattriya Nritya, one of the eight classical dance forms of India. She has received training from esteemed gurus including Khireswar Hazarika, Minakhee Gogoi, and Mallika Kandali. Kataky furthered her education by completing a Postgraduate degree in Performing Arts with a specialization in Sattriya Dance from the School of Performing Arts (BVUSPA) at Bharati Vidyapeeth - Deemed To be University, Pune. Her journey in dance began in childhood, instilling in her discipline, patience, and the values of an artist. As a performer, Priyakshee Kataky has showcased her talent in various festivals. She has also ventured into choreography, conceptualizing and creating both solo and group dance pieces. Her solo choreography explored Arjuna's journey towards detachment, while her group choreography delved into the contrast between reel and real life in the age of social media. Her dedication and contribution to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Assam's traditional Sattriya dance form were recognized when she was conferred the prestigious 'B High Grade Artiste' status in Sattriya Dance by Prasar Bharati, Doordarshan Kendra Guwahati.
