Pruthuvi Sri Aloka is a Bharatanatyam dancer, teacher, and choreographer, known for her contributions to Indian classical dance, particularly in Sri Lanka and with ties to Chennai, India. She is the founder and head of the Pruthuvi Sri Dance Company. Aloka's training in Bharatanatyam began during her university days, including studies at the University of Madras in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She continues to refine her art, notably learning Ashtapadi from Dr. Radhika Vairavelavan Ma'am. Pruthuvi Sri Aloka is also recognized with the title "Nritya Visharad". She actively promotes Bharatanatyam through performances, teaching, and online educational content, including a series on learning Bharatanatyam in Sinhala.
