Ragasudha Vinjamuri is a distinguished Bharatanatyam danseuse, academician, researcher, and choreographer, originally from Hyderabad, India, and currently based in London, UK. She began her Bharatanatyam training at the age of eight under the tutelage of the legendary Guru Dr. Uma Rama Rao in Hyderabad. She also pursued her dance education at the Sri Tyagaraja Government College of Music & Dance and later at the Lasya Priya Nrutyaniketan Kuchipudi Dance Institute. Vinjamuri relocated to London in 2006 and has since made significant contributions to the art, culture, and heritage scene in the UK. She is recognized for her pioneering efforts in presenting Indian classical dance in diverse settings and for using dance as a powerful tool to raise awareness on various social, cultural, and environmental issues, including Ayurveda, music therapy, women's empowerment, water conservation, and mental and physical health. Her career highlights include being the first Indian artist to perform Bharatanatyam 35 times in both Houses of the British Parliament as of April 2026. She has also performed at the European Parliament in Brussels and represented Britain as a Cultural Coordinator and performer at the United Nations Convention on Biodiversity (CBD) COP11. She was the site leader and choreographer for London for Global Water Dances in June 2019, an initiative to raise awareness about water issues. Beyond performing, Ragasudha Vinjamuri is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Sunderland in London. She founded the Sanskruti Centre for Cultural Excellence, an arts charity that imparts training in classical dance and actively researches and promotes lesser-known folk and tribal dance forms of India. Her research extends to transcribing ancient palm leaf folios into modern Telugu, resulting in the book "Ramanuja Vinnapam," released in the British Parliament in 2016. She has also published articles, short stories, and a poetry book titled "Kavita Ragasudha."
