Ramya Kadambi was initiated into the field of Bharatanatyam at the tender age of six at Aradhana School of Dance, under the guidance of Guru Vidwan Nagabhushan. Her interest and talent led Guru Nagabhushan to include her in his performing troupe at the young age of eight years. She passed her Junior exams, conducted by the Karnataka Secondary board, with distinction at the age of ten. Her Bharatanatyam training also helped her perform other forms of dance with ease, for which she was awarded the “Best Nimble Feet” in her school. Kadambi presents Bharatanatyam dance recitals and has also engaged in choreography and teaching. She was invited by the Kannada, Culture and Information Department, New Delhi, where she choreographed and taught several dance pieces to 35 students for the Kannada Rajyothsava Celebrations.
