Rashmi Joji John commenced her Bharatanatyam training at the age of five under the tutelage of Shri P.S. Manu. She further honed her skills at the esteemed Kalakshetra Foundation (Rukmini Devi College of Fine Arts) in Chennai, India, where she successfully completed a four-year Diploma in Bharatanatyam, consistently achieving first position throughout her studies. Her career as a dance educator includes teaching positions at St. Thomas Higher Secondary School and a CBSE School in Bhopal, India. With over two decades of experience, Rashmi Joji John has dedicated herself to teaching Indian classical and folk dance, both within India and internationally. She is recognized for her precise "Adavus" and subtle "Abhinaya" in Bharatanatyam. Rashmi Joji John has performed extensively in solo and group capacities at state and national levels. Her performances include appearances in Guruvayoor, Kerala, at the National Youth Festival in Gujarat, and in Agra. She has also participated in Kalakshetra Dance Dramas and choreographed numerous performances. In 2000, she was awarded First Position at the "Madhya Pradesh State Youth Festival." Beyond her artistic pursuits, she has been actively involved with social organizations such as the Bhopal Malyalee Association (BMA), United Malyalee Association (UMA), and HEMA, for which she has conducted summer camps and performed at charitable events. On May 8, 2026, she officially registered her own dance institution, Nrityamanjari, in Bhopal, where she serves as the Principal Guru and Artistic Director. In addition to her academy in Bhopal, she also conducts private Bharatanatyam classes in the UAE. Awards & Honours: First Position (2000).
