Rohini Ananth is a distinguished Indian classical dancer and guru specializing in Bharatanatyam. Introduced to classical dance at the age of seven, she excelled in Bharatanatyam and completed her Vidwath, the highest accolade in the art form. Her Rangapravesham (debut performance) was guided by Guru Smt. Padmini Ravi. Rohini Ananth is also a Doordarshan certified artist. Born in Hassan, India, Rohini Ananth pursued her advanced schooling and university education in Bangalore, where she graduated in Arts with majors in English, Economics, and Sociology from Bangalore University. As a performer, Rohini Ananth has graced numerous stages both as a solo artist and a group performer, often taking lead roles in productions hosted by her gurus. She has performed at various dance festivals alongside Dr. Sanjay Shantaram (Director – Shivapriya School of Dance) and as part of the world-renowned Prabath Kalavidharu, performing across India. She has also contributed to several group productions for Doordarshan under the guidance of esteemed gurus in Bangalore. Her prestigious performances include events at the Indian Consulate in Dubai, Cuttack Mahotsav, and various venues in the UAE, USA, and Australia. Rohini Ananth realized her passion for imparting knowledge by founding the Swaralaya School of Performing Arts (R) in 1996. Under this banner, she trained over 200 students, many of whom have successfully completed their Arangetram and Vidwath certifications. Following her migration to Dubai, she established KLASSICAL RHYTHMS, where she continues to train budding dancers. Students from KLASSICAL RHYTHMS have performed on prestigious platforms internationally and have completed examinations conducted by KSEB and Pracheen Kala Kendra. Her significant contributions to Bharatanatyam have been recognized with numerous awards.
