Sagarika Mohanty is an accomplished Indian classical Odissi dancer, recognized for her dedication and captivating performances. Her foundational training in Odissi began under the tutelage of the esteemed Guru Ileana Citaristi. She subsequently continued her artistic development and frequently performs with Shri Saswat Joshi, often serving as his dancing partner in various national and international engagements. Mohanty has showcased her talent at significant cultural events, including the International Odissi Dance Festival in 2011. Her performances extend to iconic venues, such as the Konark Sun Temple, where she performed Odissi dance alongside Saswat Joshi and Gitanjali Mohapatra in December 2023. Demonstrating her international reach, she also presented her Odissi artistry in front of the Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in January 2024. Sagarika Mohanty has further contributed to cultural diplomacy by representing India as an Odissi dancer at the 7th China–South Asia Cooperation Forum. Beyond her stage career, she has engaged with broader media, serving as a reality show judge on television and contributing as a choreographer for Ollywood films and albums. Academically, she holds a Master's degree in political science. Her contributions to the field of Odissi dance have been acknowledged with accolades such as the "Big Women By 92.7 Big FM" award and the "Shrestho Odia by OSUK, London" award.
