🪔 About

Sai Venkata Gangadhar is a prominent young Kuchipudi dancer and teacher hailing from Hyderabad, India. His journey into the world of classical dance began at the age of 11 in 2009, when he attended a dance workshop organized by Anitha Reddy and Kuchipudi promoter Sandhya Raju in his slum area of Mastan Nagar Basti. Despite his humble beginnings, with his father working as a driver and his mother as a domestic helper, Gangadhar displayed exceptional talent and dedication. He received his extensive training in Kuchipudi at the Nishrinkala Dance Academy under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Sandhya Raju, where he has been a prime student for over 16 years. His formal education includes a postgraduate degree in Business Administration and a Master's in Performing Arts (Kuchipudi) from the University of Hyderabad, which he completed around June 2021. Gangadhar made his professional debut, or Rangapravesham, in 2015. Following this, recognizing his commitment and skill, Guru Sandhya Raju appointed him as an assistant teacher at the Nishrinkala Dance Academy, a role he has held since. He is also trained in gymnastics, which contributes to his dynamic dance style. As a performer, Sai Venkata Gangadhar has graced numerous prestigious stages across India and internationally. His performances include appearances at the Sangeet Natak Academy's Nrityaprathibha festival, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha's Pongal festivals, the Gandharva festival, and the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. He also showcased his talent in Italy during Diwali celebrations. Beyond his professional career, Gangadhar is deeply committed to social upliftment, offering free Kuchipudi lessons to children from slum areas, aiming to provide them with opportunities similar to those he received. He actively uses platforms like Instagram and YouTube to share his art and engage with a wider audience.
