Sakshi Ashok is a Bharatanatyam practitioner who received her training under the guidance of Natyacharya Shri Mithun Shyam, the founder of Vaishnavi Natyashala and a SNA Yuva Puraskar awardee. Her training emphasizes classical technique, abhinaya (expressive interpretation), and spiritual intent, developed through years of rigorous learning within the guru-shishya parampara (teacher-disciple tradition). Sakshi Ashok performs classical, devotional, and storytelling pieces, both as a soloist and in ensembles, at various cultural and temple events. She has participated in dance offerings and recitals presented by Vaishnavi Natyashala, including Nrithya Seva, Navratri, and Mahashivaratri performances, alongside her fellow disciples. Her performances have been showcased at cultural halls, temple venues, and institutional programs, including platforms supported by cultural organizations and government bodies. Her work often integrates narrative structures with traditional choreography, drawing inspiration from Shaiva and Vaishnava traditions. She continues to pursue her artistic journey through solo recitals, ensemble productions, and devotional dance offerings, maintaining a deep connection to classical Bharatanatyam aesthetics and the values instilled by her guru.
