Sarah Sangeetha Gasser is a Bharatanatyam dancer, teacher, choreographer, and researcher from Switzerland. Her fascination with Indian classical dance began at the age of four after witnessing a performance in her hometown, leading her to insist on learning the art form despite limited opportunities in Switzerland at the time. She commenced her Bharatanatyam training at the age of six with Master Keshav, who taught in Switzerland. Gasser performed her arangetram (solo debut) in 2008. Driven by her passion, Gasser moved to India for advanced studies. In 2012, at the age of 23, she was pursuing her Master's in Bharatanatyam at the Music University in Mysore, where she was a disciple of Dr. Chethana Radha Krishna of Gurudeva Academy of Fine Arts. After completing her Master's, she relocated to Chennai to undertake intensive studies and research on Natyashastra and its Karanas, a period during which she was accepted as a student by the renowned Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam. Currently, Sarah Sangeetha Gasser travels between Switzerland and India, teaching students and conducting workshops across Europe and India. She has expressed a clear intention to establish a dance school in Switzerland. Her work includes collaborations and performances in classical contemporary dance pieces, and she has been involved in significant projects such as "The Rite of Spring" by Seeta Patel. She also creates and choreographs her own productions, such as "Just Another Point of View".
