Smt. Bhanu Ramanataraj, also known as N.N.V. Satya Bhanu and Satyabhanu Nanduri, is a distinguished figure in the Indian classical dance form of Kuchipudi. She began her dance journey as a student at the prestigious Kuchipudi Kalakshetra, an institution founded by the legendary Padmabhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam. Under his tutelage, she honed her skills and emerged as one of his illustrious disciples. Demonstrating her commitment and talent, Smt. Bhanu Ramanataraj was awarded the Government of India Junior Fellowship for Kuchipudi, a recognition of her outstanding capabilities in the field. She has established herself not only as a performer but also as a dedicated guru and choreographer. She founded her own institute, Sri Siddhendra Yogi Kalanilayam, where she imparts comprehensive training in Kuchipudi. Her teaching methodology encompasses both beginners and advanced students, with a particular specialization in Abhinaya, the emotive aspect of dance. Throughout her career, Smt. Bhanu Ramanataraj has actively contributed to the propagation of Kuchipudi. She has choreographed numerous dance pieces for her students, who regularly perform under her guidance. Her students, including Ch.Amruta, G Samiksha, and L.Likhitha, have showcased her choreography in various performances. Smt. Bhanu Ramanataraj herself has graced the stage, performing Kuchipudi at esteemed events such as the Sathyabhama YuvaNrithyotsav 2022, held at the Kalabharathi AC Auditorium in Visakhapatnam. Her work as a performer, teacher, guru, institution head, and choreographer underscores her significant role in nurturing and advancing the Kuchipudi tradition.
