🪔 About
Shantha Shrikanth is a renowned Indian classical dancer, choreographer, and teacher, specializing in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, with over 30 years of experience in the field. She holds an MFA from Bharathidasan University and a Nritya Alankar from the Akhila Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. Shrikanth is the founder and director of Sri Nrityaranjani Fine Arts Academy (SNFA), an institution dedicated to nurturing and promoting the rich traditions of Bharatanatyam. The academy, co-directed by her daughter Guru Vidushi Smt. Sharanya Shashank, began as a small initiative and has since grown into a reputed institution with over 100 students. SNFA has multiple branches across Bengaluru, including Pai Layout, GM Palya, Thanisandra, and Tarabanahalli, and has also established international centers in Seattle, Raleigh, and Mauritius. The academy's teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in the Pandanallur style of Bharatanatyam, emphasizing dance not just as an art form but as a way of life that instills discipline, confidence, cultural awareness, and devotion. Under her guidance, SNFA has achieved recognition in the Guinness Book of World Records through large-scale Bharatanatyam performances and has presented acclaimed dance productions such as Shanmukha Vaibhavam, Sri Krishna Leelamrutam, and Sri Rama Charitam. Awards & Honours: Nritya Shrivali, Natya Choodamani, Natya Shiromani, Power Woman Award, SIWAA, Guinness World Record.
