Shashrek Ambardar is an Indian classical Bharatanatyam dancer known for his dynamic performances and innovative approach to the art form. He commenced his Bharatanatyam training at a young age, studying for 14 years under the guidance of veteran danseuse and actress Sindhu Mishra. Ambardar has been recognized for his talent, receiving the National Balshree Honour in 2009 from the President of India in the field of Creative Performing Arts. He is also a recipient of the prestigious National Scholarship granted by the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Ministry of Culture. Ambardar has represented India on international platforms, performing at the World Children's Theatre Ensemble at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and participating in cultural exchange programs in Germany, Japan, Iceland, and Dubai. He is also noted for his choreographic work, including a solo Bharatanatyam recital in 2016 that uniquely blended Hindustani and Carnatic music styles. While pursuing his passion for dance, Ambardar has also pursued academics, studying Economics at St. Stephen's College, Delhi University, and has expressed an interest in policymaking and the Indian Administrative Service.
