Shilpa Abhiram is an accomplished Bharatanatyam performer and teacher based in Bengaluru, India. With over two decades of dedication to the classical art form, she actively pursues her career as both a performer and an educator. She is the Artistic Director of 'Ekatvam Kalaa Shaale,' a prominent Bharatanatyam and Yoga Studio in Bengaluru, where she passionately shares her knowledge and guides aspiring dancers and yoga enthusiasts. Shilpa Abhiram holds a Masters degree in Bharatanatyam from Tamil Nadu University, which she completed between May 2017 and May 2019. Her training also includes nattuvangam and Marga Karanas. Complementing her deep connection to the spiritual and physical aspects of dance, she is also a certified yoga instructor, bringing a holistic approach to her Bharatanatyam teaching. She has performed as a soloist in numerous prestigious dance festivals across India, including in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and New Delhi. Her international performances have taken her to countries such as Doha, Germany, Poland, France, and Guadeloupe. Shilpa Abhiram's teaching methodology incorporates progressive lesson plans for students of all skill levels, covering basic body movements for strength and flexibility, as well as theoretical aspects based on the Natyashastra and Abhinayadarpana. She also offers specialized training in Karanas for senior students. She began her teaching career approximately 10 years prior to July 2019. Awards & Honours: Kalemane Kalashri, Kalamani.
