Shri Rajesh R Tanjorkar is a Bharatanatyam practitioner and teacher associated with the Tanjore Dance Music and Art Research Centre and Tanjore Nritya Shala in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. He is the son of Guru Shri Ramesh Kubernath Tanjorkar and Guru Smt. Leela Ramesh Tanjorkar, and the grandson of the legendary Nattuvanar Guruvarya Kubernathji Tanjorkar. As part of this esteemed family, he is dedicated to educating, encouraging, and propagating Bharatanatyam in its original, classical Tanjore Nritya Gharana. The Tanjore Dance Music and Art Research Centre, a public trust, was established by his grandfather and continues to provide training and performance in classical and Indian folk dances. The family lineage is credited with bringing Bharatanatyam from Tamil Nadu to Gujarat and spreading it across India and abroad.
