Shrimathy Nandini Suthahar is a prominent figure in Indian classical dance, serving as the founder, principal, and chief instructress of Kalaimanram UK, a cultural academy based in Harrow and Watford, United Kingdom. She is recognized with the title "Natya Kala Sikhamani". Nandini Suthahar specializes in the Vazhuvoor style of Bharatanatyam dance and also teaches Carnatic vocal music. Her initial formal training in Bharatanatyam began in Sri Lanka under the tutelage of her mother, "Kalabhooshanam" Shrimathy Thiripurasundari Yoganantham. Following her Arangetram, she pursued advanced and intensive training in India under the guidance of Vazhuvoor Samaraj, the son of the esteemed "Natya Kalakesari", "Isai Perarignar", and "Padmashri" Vazhuvoor Ramaiah Pillai. Throughout her career, Shrimathy Nandini Suthahar has been a veteran of on-stage and TV productions, choreographing, presenting, and participating in numerous performances. A notable performance includes her portrayal of 'Karaikkaal Ammaiyaar' in the "Theivaththaai" dance drama at the 4th Hindu conference in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 1995. She also had the privilege of performing before the Archbishop of Canterbury during his visit to Sri Lanka. As a dedicated guru, she trains students to advanced levels in Bharatanatyam and Carnatic Vocal Exams conducted by the Oriental Examination Board of London (OEBL). In 2010, she was commissioned to set the practical Bharatanatyam syllabus in the Vazhuvoor discipline for the OEBL Examining Board.
