Shruti Sinha is a highly esteemed Kathak virtuoso and a dedicated cultural educator, widely recognized for her profound contributions to the preservation and promotion of Indian classical dance. Her rigorous training in Kathak was undertaken under the esteemed tutelage of Guru Pt. Munna Shukla, a significant figure in the Kathak tradition. She further solidified her artistic foundation by attaining a Post Diploma from Kathak Kendra, New Delhi, and the prestigious Praveen qualification from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Sinha also holds a strong academic background, having earned an M.Sc. in Chemistry from Patna Science College. Her artistic versatility extends beyond Kathak, as she also possesses mastery in playing instruments such as Tabla, Harmonium, and Pakhawaj, and is proficient in Yoga. As a graded Kathak artist with Doordarshan, India's public service broadcaster, she has graced numerous prestigious stages with her captivating performances. Sinha is the visionary founder and Director of SIPA (Shruti Institute of Performing Arts), an esteemed institution affiliated with Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai. Through SIPA, she plays a pivotal role in nurturing and guiding future generations of Kathak talent, ensuring the continuity and evolution of the art form. Her commitment to cultural education is further demonstrated through her engaging lecture demonstrations delivered to Delhi Government Schools and educators nationwide, aiming to foster a deeper appreciation for classical Indian arts. Her unwavering dedication and exceptional artistry have been acknowledged with significant accolades, including the Mahadevi Verma Simriti Award and the Dr. Sarojini Naidu Nightangle of India International Award, solidifying her legacy as a beacon of Kathak's timeless artistry.
