Smt. Geetha Padmakumar is a renowned Indian classical dancer, guru, and choreographer, primarily celebrated for her contributions to Kuchipudi. Her journey in dance began at the tender age of three, receiving initial training from Kalamandalam Gopinath. She continued her studies with RLV Shyamala in Class 4 and later shifted her focus to Kuchipudi under the tutelage of Kalamandalam Mohana Thulasi in Class 8. Padmakumar holds a graduation in Bharatanatyam from St. Teresa's College and a postgraduate degree from RLV College, Tripunithura. Her advanced training in Kuchipudi was under the legendary Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam, with whom she spent nearly six years, immersing herself in Natyashastra and music. Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam proudly presented her at numerous festivals across the globe, including a six-month, 60-stage tour in the United States. Beyond her illustrious performing career, Geetha Padmakumar is a dedicated teacher, having established a dance school in Perumbavoor and also conducting classes in Thrissur. She is committed to inspiring creativity and lifelong learning through engaging hobby experiences, particularly in Kuchipudi. Her work has been recognized with significant accolades, including the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy award and the Devdasi National Award.
