Smt. Neha Parikh is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, acclaimed teacher, and the artistic director of Chidambaram Nritya Kala Academy, which she founded in Nashua, New Hampshire, USA, in 2005. Her journey in Indian classical dance began at the tender age of seven, leading her to pursue professional training in Bharatanatyam at the Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidhyalaya (Nalanda Institute) in Mumbai, India. There, she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Fine Arts, specializing in Bharatanatyam. During her time at Nalanda, she had the privilege of learning under eminent gurus such as Smt. Thangamani Nagarajan, Smt. Malati Agniswaran, Shri Vaibhav Arekar, and Smt. Ambika Vishwanathan. Parikh's extensive experience includes teaching senior students at the Nalanda dance research center for nine years and performing extensively with the Nalanda troupe. She played major roles in prestigious productions like 'Silappadikaram,' 'Santavani,' 'Kanchanmrig,' and 'Swapnavasavadattam.' After relocating to the United States in 2005, she established Chidambaram Nritya Kala Academy, serving the Greater Nashua area. The academy is renowned for its authentic teaching style, emphasizing discipline, neatness of lines in nritta, geometrical patterns, and crisp movements. Besides Bharatanatyam, she is also a trained Mohiniattam artiste and teaches various Indian folk and Bollywood dance styles. Her dedication to the Guru-Shishya tradition has guided many of her students to perform their Arangetrams and win numerous dance competitions. She was recognized with the “Excellence Award” from IANH in 2011 and the “Spotlight on Excellence Award” from Lokvani e-magazine in the same year.
