Soumya Bose

Soumya Bose is an Indian classical Odissi dancer. He began his initial Odissi training in his hometown of Kolkata at the Odissi Vision and Movement Centre, where he completed primary and secondary courses in the dance form. Drawn to the lyrical mysticism of Odissi, he moved to Odisha (formerly Orissa) for advanced training. He studied Odissi dance for two years at the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Odissi Research Center, benefiting from the guidance of great teachers there. He also had the privilege to learn from Guru Shree Manoranjan Pradhan. Currently, he is being further nurtured under Guru Shree Naba Kishore Mishra at 'Abartta' and performs widely as a senior and solo artist in his troupe. Soumya Bose is also a senior devoted disciple of Guru Sujata Mohapatra. He continues his graduation at Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in Bhubaneswar. His performances include the Devi Stuti at the 4th International Odissi Dance Festival in 2011 and an Odissi performance at the Khajuraho Dance Festival in 2017. He also performed at the Odissi International in 2019.
