Kalamandalam Sreeja R Krishnan, also known as Vadakoot Radhakrishnan Sreeja, is a renowned exponent of Indian classical dance forms including Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, and Kuchipudi. Born on May 26, 1982, in Vellanikkara, Thrissur, Kerala, India, she began her dance training at a young age. After completing her 10th standard, she pursued advanced studies in Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam at "Kerala Kalamandalam," a Deemed University for Art and Culture, where she completed her dance diploma with the highest marks. She furthered her education by obtaining an MFA (Master of Fine Arts) in Bharatanatyam from Thanjavur Tamil University. Sreeja R Krishnan embarked on her professional career as a performer in 2001 and simultaneously began teaching dance. She served as a Dance HOD in various institutions, including the Good Shepherd International School in Ooty. She founded the "Sooryagayathri Center of Arts" in Thrissur, which later expanded its reach with three branches in Kuwait in 2009, gaining significant recognition for imparting knowledge of Indian classical dance and music. As a choreographer and teacher, she is known for her dedication to preserving and promoting classical dance traditions.
