Guru Srigowri ji is a multifaceted Bharatanatyam artist with a distinguished career spanning over two decades. Known for her mastery of Bharatnatyam, she has captivated audiences with her expressive performances at major dance festivals across India. A gold medalist in Performing Arts from Jain University, Srigowri’s academic excellence complements her artistic prowess.Under the tutelage of esteemed gurus like Smt. Shubha Dhananjay, Smt. Lalitha Srinivasan, Smt. Usha Datar, and Smt. Shobha Shashikumar, she has acquired a profound understanding of the classical dance form. Her dedication to the art is evident in her numerous achievements, including a national scholarship, the prestigious title of ‘Natya Mayuri’, and her role as an examiner and judge for various dance competitions.Beyond her stage presence, Srigowri ji is a skilled choreographer, having crafted captivating performances for large-scale productions and dance ballets. Her commitment to the preservation and growth of Bharatnatyam extends to the academic realm, where she actively engages in research and conducts workshops to share her knowledge with aspiring dancers.Currently residing in Santa Clara, California, Srigowri ji continues to inspire and nurture young talent through her teaching endeavors at Raaga School of Music.
