Guru Srigowri Bhaskar is a distinguished Bharatanatyam artist with a career spanning over two decades. She is recognized for her mastery of Bharatanatyam and has performed at major dance festivals across India, captivating audiences with her expressive performances. Srigowri is a gold medalist in Performing Arts from Jain University, demonstrating her academic excellence alongside her artistic prowess. She received her profound understanding of the classical dance form under the tutelage of esteemed gurus including Smt. Shubha Dhananjay, Smt. Lalitha Srinivasan, Smt. Usha Datar, and Smt. Shobha Shashikumar. Her dedication to the art is reflected in her numerous achievements, which include a national scholarship and the prestigious title of 'Natya Mayuri'. Beyond her stage performances, Srigowri is a skilled choreographer, having created captivating performances for large-scale productions and dance ballets. She also serves as an examiner and judge for various dance competitions. Her commitment to the preservation and growth of Bharatanatyam extends to the academic realm, where she actively engages in research and conducts workshops to share her knowledge with aspiring dancers. Currently, Srigowri Bhaskar resides in Santa Clara, California, where she continues to inspire and nurture young talent through her teaching endeavors at Raaga School of Music.
