Srividya Chellappan is a Bharatanatyam dancer who commenced her training at the age of six under the guidance of the late Guru Smt. Nagamani Srinivasa Rao in Adyar, Chennai. Born and raised in Besant Nagar, Chennai, she pursued higher education, earning her Masters in Business Administration in 2000. Following her marriage, she relocated to the USA, residing in Boston, Massachusetts, for approximately twelve years. In 2012, Srividya returned to India, settling in Bangalore, where she became a disciple of Guru Vidushi Smt. Shantha Srikanth, the founder and director of Shri Nrityaranjani Fine Arts Academy. She furthered her dance education by completing her Visharad from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Navi Mumbai. In 2018, Srividya Chellappan achieved a Guinness Book of World Records title. She moved back to the USA in 2020, relocating to Seattle, and subsequently established her own dance institution, Sri Nrityaranjani Fine Arts Academy, in Bellevue, Washington, in October 2021, where she continues to teach Bharatanatyam.
