Suchismita Aditya Sarkar is a passionate Indian classical dancer dedicated to preserving India's rich cultural heritage through various dance forms. She has received extensive professional training under eminent gurus. For Bharatanatyam, she trained under Guru Smt. Thankamani Kutty and Guru Shri T. Venkattia. Her Kuchipudi training was under Guru Smt. Sujata Rama Lingam, and Kathak under Guru Sanjay Bhattacharya. She also received training in Creative Dance from Guru Shanti Basu, Guru Shambhu Bhattacharya, and Guru Mamata Shankar. Sarkar is the founder of Adityasuchismita, a classical dance academy in Kolkata, where she guides students in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Kathak, as well as other styles like Folk Dance and Creative (Uday Shankar Style) dance. She holds an M.A. in Bengali and a B. Ed, and has contributed her talents to Mahadevi Shishu Vihar (Ashoka Hall Group of Schools) and has been associated with Kalamandalam Kolkata. Her performances, often featuring her students, celebrate Indian classical dance, culture, and storytelling, and have been showcased both nationally and internationally.
