Sujavanthy Srinivasan is the Founder and Director of Dallas Natyalaya Academy of Dance, an institution dedicated to Bharatanatyam. Her journey in classical dance began at the age of five, receiving training from various distinguished exponents in India. She completed her Bharatanatyam Arangetram and was honored with an award from Padma Shri Padma Subramanian. Srinivasan has an extensive performance history across India, including prestigious venues such as the Music Academy, Brahma Ganna Sabha, Naradha Ganna Sabha, Rani Sethai Hall, Lady Andal School, Mylapore Fine Arts, and Shree Parthasarathy Swami Sabha. She has also performed for the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at ValluvarKottam in Chennai. Her talent has been showcased on television, where she participated and won prizes in shows like Sun TV's “ThillanaThillana” and Vijay TV's “Vivel Miss Chennai 2009,” where she was crowned “Miss Talent.” She also performed on JAYA TV's “Thaka Dhimmi Tha” and presented Indian Kurathi dance on Doordarshan. Internationally, Sujavanthy Srinivasan has performed for organizations like Natya Sangam and Tamil Sangam across the United States. Her international performances include the Atlantic City Library International Night series concert and a Diwali celebration concert in Times Square, New York, organized by Maharashtra Tourisms Corporation. She has also choreographed and performed for various temples in New Jersey, including Shri KrishnaVrudavana Temple, Flushing Temple, and Bridgewater Temple. With over two decades of dedication to Bharatanatyam, she has taught more than 110 students in different dance schools in New Jersey before founding Dallas Natyalaya. She is also an accomplished choreographer and has served as a judge for various performances worldwide. Srinivasan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration. She is also a blogger, passionate about promoting Bharatanatyam globally.
