She is the visionary founder and director of the Sama School of Kathak, an institution dedicated to offering Kathak dance classes to children and adults throughout Surrey and Greater London. Her profound classical training includes achieving a Kathak Visharad, recognized as the highest classical dance diploma, from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. Additionally, she is a graduate in Kathak from Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune. Saxena's artistic lineage is strong, as she is a senior disciple of Guru Alpana Sengupta MBE, a highly respected Kathak artist in the United Kingdom. She further refines her art through ongoing advanced studies under Guru Amruta Paranjpe, a celebrated classical exponent based in Pune, India. With a teaching career spanning over a decade, Suruchi Saxena is deeply committed to transmitting the rich tradition of Kathak.
