Swaralipi Roy is an accomplished Odissi dancer and a devoted disciple of Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee Guru Smt. Aloka Kanungo. She has undergone over 20 years of rigorous training in the Odissi classical dance form. Throughout her career, Roy has performed extensively as a soloist both in India and internationally. Her performances have graced prestigious dance festivals across India, including the Konark Dance Festival, Uday Shankar Dance Festival, International Odissi Dance Festival (Bhubaneshwar), Guru Pankaj Utsav, Bengaluru Odissi Utsav, and Swayam by Padatik. Internationally, she has performed under the banners of the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society and Indian Consulates in cities such as Beijing, Tokyo, and Milan. In India, her performances include those for the Sangeet Natak Akademi, Narada Gana Sabha, Chembur Fine Arts, and Sri Shanmikhananda Sabha. Swaralipi Roy is also a dedicated educator, having taught Odissi for the last decade. She leads her own dance troupe, The Urban Temple Dance Repertory, which features student artists. In 2024, she performed 'Dashamahavidya', a piece choreographed by her guru, Smt. Aloka Kanungo, at the ALOK MURALI FESTIVAL. She has also performed as part of a group from Shinjan Nrityalaya, showcasing compositions by Guru Aloka Kanungo. Awards & Honours: First Position (2023).
