🪔 About
Tanusha Tyagi is an Indian classical dancer specializing in Bharatanatyam. She is a disciple of Guru Sindhu Mishra. Tyagi recently presented a solo Bharatanatyam recital titled 'Odyssey of Love' at the LTG Auditorium in New Delhi. The performance, conceived and choreographed by her Guru, explored themes of cosmic, devotional, and human love through the narrative of Shiva and Parvati. Structured as a traditional 'Margam', the recital included an invocation to Ganesha and Shiva, a 'Ganesh Kriti' in raga Nattai, 'Bho Shambho' in Revathi, and a central 'Pada Varnam' drawing from the 'Ramcharitmanas' that depicted Parvati's devotion. Tyagi's performance was noted for her vibrant movements, sincerity, grace, emotional clarity in 'abhinaya', and energetic footwork in 'nritta'. The recital concluded with a lively Desh Thillana. She performed with a live orchestra featuring G. Elangovan (Carnatic vocals and flute), Nitin Sharma (Hindustani vocals), Sachin Sharma (tabla), and Dr. Ramamurthy Kesavan (mridangam), with Guru Sindhu Mishra providing the 'nattuvangam'.
