Thilini Rangika Dissanayake is a Kathak dancer and teacher based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She holds the title of Nrutya Visharad and has pursued extensive academic qualifications in performing arts, including a special degree and master's level studies at Kelaniya University, and a postgraduate diploma from Colombo University. Dissanayake is the founder and head of the Rangara Kathak Dance Academy, where she shares her knowledge and experience of the North Indian classical dance style. Her academy is located at the Royal MAS Arena in Colombo. She and her students have performed at various cultural events, including a Kathak dance performance at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Colombo in January 2019, featuring classical, simple-classical, and fusion dance items. Through her academy, Dissanayake actively promotes Kathak, offering workshops and performances to foster appreciation and learning of this intricate dance form. Awards & Honours: Nrutya Visharad.
