Thipana Satkunanavarajah Ajay is a Bharatanatyam teacher based in Berlin, Germany. Born in Sri Lanka, she was brought up in Berlin. Her training in Bharatanatyam commenced at the age of seven under the tutelage of Guru Kum. Bithika Chatterjee. Guru Kum. Bithika Chatterjee is a disciple of Smt. Leela Samson, who is associated with Sri Ram Bharathiya Kala Kendra in New Delhi and was formerly the Director of Kalakshetra Foundation. Thipana Satkunanavarajah Ajay has further enriched her dance education by participating in intensive workshops led by notable Bharatanatyam artists such as Chitra Visweswaran, Justin Mccarthy, and Usha Vasanthkumar.
