Tulani Kayani-Skeef is a Kathak dance artist and teacher based in London, UK. She received her Kathak training from Guru Sujata Banerjee and is a a graduate of the South Asian strand at the Centre for Advanced Training dance programme. Kayani-Skeef is a regular dancer with the Sujata Banerjee Dance Company and also teaches classes for the company. She has performed in prominent dance competitions, including the finals of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Bursary Awards at Sadler's Wells and the South Asian category finals of the BBC Young Dancer 2019 competition at The Lowry, Manchester. In November 2019, she performed an acclaimed solo Kathak piece, “Tarana Sawari,” choreographed by Sujata Banerjee, at The Place in London. Her performances also include an appearance at the Bhavan Centre in London in January 2015. Kayani-Skeef is a dance ambassador for the One Dance UK organisation and is pursuing studies in Tanpura under Sukanya Shankar, the wife of Pandit Ravi Shankar. She began conducting remote online Kathak sessions during the coronavirus lockdown in April 2020, demonstrating her development as a dance teacher. In March 2024, she was featured in a "Spotlight" event by the Sujata Banerjee Dance Company.
