Ulrika Larsen is a Swedish dancer, choreographer, and teacher specializing in Indian classical dance, primarily Odissi and Bharatanatyam. She has trained for 30 years, predominantly in India, at institutions such as Triveni Kala Sangam, Orissa Dance Academy, and Nrityagram. Larsen also holds a master's degree in directing and dramaturgy from Stockholm University of the Arts and has further education from the University of Dance and Circus. Since 2002, she has been professionally active as a choreographer, dancer, and teacher, touring both in Sweden and internationally with solo performances and her own dance productions through Odissi Dance Production. She is also known for organizing dance festivals like Nava Gati and Movement in Exile. Her organization, Odissi Dansproduktion, founded in 2003, serves as a platform for exploring the essence and relevance of Odissi in non-Indian cultures, aiming to integrate it with contemporary and urban artistic expressions.
