Usha Priyadarsini R L V is an Indian classical dancer specializing in Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, and Bharatanatyam. Born on June 3, 1975, to Viswanatha Panickar and Padma Viswanathan, she has received extensive training in various classical dance forms. In Kathakali, she was trained by R.L.V. Damodara Pisharody, R.L.V. Gopi, Kalamandalam E. Vasudevan, and Kalamandalam Haridasan. She also learned Kathakali 'chutti' (make-up) under Kalanilayam Saji. Her expertise lies in performing "Minukku" (Sthree) characters, such as Damayanthi, Panchali, and Lalitha. Beyond Kathakali, Usha Priyadarsini also pursued Mohiniyattam under Kalamandalam Kalyanikutty Amma and Kala. She completed her Diploma and Post Diploma in Bharatanatyam from the R.L.V. College of Music and Institute of Fine Arts, where she studied under Koothatukulam Radhamani. She has performed Kathakali across India and is currently associated with the Thripunithura Women Kathakali troup. She is based in Kochi, India.
