Vaidehi Parashurami, born on February 1, 1992, in Mumbai, India, is a classically trained Kathak dancer who has also established a prominent career as an actress in Marathi and Hindi cinema. She pursued her academic education with a B.A. in English literature from Ramnarain Ruia College and an L.L.B. from New Law College, Mumbai. Parashurami's dedication to Kathak is evident through her completion of Nritya Alankar under the guidance of the late Guru Smt. Asha Joglekar. She further holds a Master's degree in Kathak. Throughout her dance career, Vaidehi Parashurami has participated in and won numerous dance competitions organized by various cultural institutions, including ISKCON, Nrityanjali, Children's Club, Maratha Mandir, Karuya, and Sharda Sangeet Vidyalaya. She has performed across India as part of the dance troupe of Archana Nrityalaya and has had the esteemed opportunity to share the stage with Kathak maestro Pandit Birju Maharaj. More recently, Parashurami has been actively involved in conceptualizing and performing in significant Kathak productions. She spearheaded and performed in the dance musical "Kathatit," which explored emotional connections beyond blood ties. She has also presented "Kathopkathan-Kathak" at the NCPA and performed "Virāsat – The Journey of Kathak" alongside Dr. Parinita Shah, tracing the evolution of Kathak from its traditional roots to its contemporary expressions.
