🪔 About
Vaishnavi Vitthal Dhore is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, teacher, and choreographer. Her foundational training in Bharatanatyam was received under the tutelage of Dr. Swati Daithankar. She further honed her artistry as a disciple of the renowned Nritya Kalanidhi Smt. Rama Vaidyanathan. Complementing her practical training, Dhore pursued formal education, completing her Nritya Visharad and a Master's Degree from Khairagarh University. Her performing career is marked by appearances at several prestigious dance festivals across India, including the Konark festival, Maihar Festival, Patiala Heritage Festival, and Dhauli Kalinga Festival. Internationally, Vaishnavi Dhore has represented Indian classical dance at festivals in Singapore, Cambodia, and South Korea, and also participated in the online Vibrant Brampton Classical Festival in Canada. Beyond her performances, Dhore is dedicated to imparting her knowledge and passion for Bharatanatyam. She serves as a Bharatanatyam trainer at Aravindam India Gurukuls, an organization focused on Indian Heritage learning. As a choreographer, she recently presented "A woman beyond letters" at the fifth edition of the Jharna festival in Chennai. This 45-minute production was a tribute to the Marathi poet Bahinabai Chaudhari, with Dhore skillfully using the Bharatanatyam idiom to explore the poet's life and works. Critics noted her command over technique and abhinaya, highlighting her effortless ability to convey complex narratives. She is primarily associated with Delhi for her Bharatanatyam practice.
