Varsha Vasu is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, Nattuvangam artist, and musician who has performed across the United States and India. She has showcased her talent in various dance competitions, securing placements at events such as Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana, Saptami, and Sewa International. Beyond her dance prowess, Vasu is also a skilled musician, composing original music for professional classical dancers and productions in both the US and India. She is a trained Western violinist, having performed at Carnegie Hall and recognized as a top 1% Western violinist in Texas in 2018. Additionally, she is a Carnatic violin and vocal disciple. In 2020, Varsha Vasu founded Virtual Arts for Humanity (VAH Nonprofit), a 501(c)(3) organization. As its Founder and Executive Director, she leads VAH's mission to leverage the performing arts for philanthropic causes while ensuring artists are compensated. Under her leadership, VAH has provided over 130,000 meals for food-insecure families and featured nearly 500 performing artists globally. The organization was honored with the "Nonprofit Impact Award" in 2022. VAH hosts festivals, workshops, and interviews, expanding its reach to major U.S. cities including Houston, Dallas, Austin, New York, San Jose, and Chicago. After a career in corporate consulting, Varsha Vasu is currently pursuing medicine.
