Vedantam Siddhendra Varaprasad is a prominent Indian classical dancer specializing in Kuchipudi, born on August 24, 1987. Hailing from a traditional Kuchipudi dance family, he is the son and disciple of Guru Vedantam Radhesyam. Siddhendra began his Kuchipudi training at the tender age of six under his father's tutelage. He further honed his skills by completing certificate and diploma courses in Kuchipudi dance and Yakshaganam from P.S. Telugu University, Siddhendra Kalapeetham, Kuchipudi. After completing his MBA, Varaprasad dedicated himself to preserving and promoting his family's rich artistic heritage as a performer, singer, nattuvanar, and teacher. He has graced numerous stages with over a hundred solo and ballet performances. His repertoire includes significant male and female roles in traditional Yakshaganas and Kalapas, such as Prahalada, Leelavati, Nrisimha, and Vetrahasta in Prahalada Yakshaganam; Siva, Tarakasura, and Manmadha in Parvati Parinayam; Gollabhama in Gollakalapam; and Krishna in Bhama Kalapam. He also performs solo pieces like Sasavatara Sabdam, Tyagaraya Pancharatna Keertana, Ashtapadi, Sivashtakam, and Narayaneeyam. Varaprasad is actively involved in teaching, offering Kuchipudi dance coaching in Nagole, Hyderabad. He has also served as a trainer in Kuchipudi Dance at RGUKT, Basara, from 2011 to 2012, and participated as a trainer in the "Kalaparichayam" cultural appreciation program in 2006. His contributions to Kuchipudi have earned him several accolades, including the prestigious Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar from the Sangeet Natak Akademi in 2025. He also holds a certificate of appreciation from the Guinness Book of World Records for his performance of the Kuchipudi dance item "athana jatiswaram" and Bhakta Prahalada Yakshaganam at the International Kuchipudi Dance Convention in 2008.
