🪔 About

Verena Klameth, born in Zurich, Switzerland, embarked on her artistic and spiritual journey by graduating in Physical Education and Dance in the late 1970s. Her profound connection to Eastern philosophies led her to Asia in the 1970s, where she immersed herself in the study and practice of classical Yoga, eventually becoming a certified Yoga teacher in the 1980s. It was through Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form, that she reconnected with her innate passion for dance. Since 1982, Klameth has dedicated several months each winter to intensive training in South India, particularly in the renowned cultural centers of Mysore and Madras. During these periods, she diligently expanded her artistic repertoire in Indian classical dance, with a special focus on the vibrant Kuchipudi style. Since 1986, Verena Klameth has made her home in Tuscany, Italy, where she established and continues to direct a dedicated Yoga and Dance studio. Her career as a performer has seen her successfully present Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi across numerous cultural venues throughout Europe. Beyond performing, she is a dedicated educator, regularly conducting Yoga and Dance seminars both within Italy and internationally. With a rich experience spanning over 35 years in Yoga and more than 30 years in Indian Dance, Klameth has innovatively developed "Natya Yoga." This unique form of dance therapy seamlessly integrates the intricate hand gestures (hasta mudras) of Indian sacred dance with the holistic principles of yoga, offering a comprehensive approach to physical and spiritual well-being. Her work as a choreographer is also evident in her creative explorations within dance, as documented in her "Poesie Archivi" which includes "Choreography."
