Veshnu began his dance journey with initial and foundational studies in Singapore, later furthering his training in India. He joined the People's Association Indian Dance Group in 1987, directed by Mrs. Neila Sathyalingam, and served as a Cultural Ambassador for Indian Dance for the Singapore Tourist Promotion Board in 1992, performing internationally. His professional dance career commenced in 1995 when he joined the Bharatam Dance Company in Melbourne, Australia, which expanded his creative horizons. Veshnu also explored Odissi, training under Dr. Chandrabhanu, starting in 1997. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma and a Master's in Dance degree and is currently pursuing doctoral research in dance at the Victorian College of Arts, University of Melbourne.
