Vidushi Bhavana Pradyumna is an accomplished Carnatic musician and Bharatanatyam dancer, originally from Bengaluru, India, and currently based in Paris, France. Her journey in Indian classical arts began early, with her mother, Vidushi Padmamalini Raghunandan, serving as her first guru in music. Bhavana Pradyumna holds a Master's degree in Carnatic Music from the University of Madras and became a graded artist of All India Radio by the age of twelve, performing numerous Carnatic music concerts. She also received a scholarship from the Sangeet Natak Akademi at thirteen and participated in a Guinness World Record event for the largest choir. In a significant contribution to cultural diplomacy, Bhavana Pradyumna, along with her husband Pradyumna Kandadai, co-founded the Indian Conservatory of Paris (ICParis), also known as the Carnatic Conservatory of Paris (CCParis), in 2015. This institution made history by being the first in Europe to introduce Indian classical arts, including Carnatic vocal, Veena, Konnakkol, and Odissi dance, into a conservatory curriculum, with diplomas accredited by the French government. She has performed extensively in India, the USA, and Europe for over two decades, and provides vocal accompaniment for Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Mohiniyattam arangetrams and programs. Bhavana Pradyumna is also the author of the "Children's Carnatic" book series, designed to make Indian music accessible to young learners globally, with editions in multiple languages. Her efforts in promoting Indian culture have been widely recognized; she organized over 40 events with the support of the Indian Embassy and UNESCO, and the Indian Conservatory of Paris proudly represented Indian culture at the Paris 2024 Olympic Fan Zone, earning a letter of commendation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Furthering educational opportunities, ICParis signed MoUs in 2024 with the Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Music and Fine Arts University and in 2025 with SVYASA Yoga University, offering certified courses in Indian classical music, dance, and yoga. She has been conferred the title "Ramanuja Paaduka Sevaka" for her contributions to Carnatic Music. She also founded a new music genre called “CarNic” music.
