Yoko Matsushita is a Japanese Bharatanatyam dancer, teacher, and the founder of Studio Prachee. She began her journey in Indian classical dance in Japan in 1992. Since 1994, she has been undergoing rigorous training in India under the tutelage of Padma Bhushan awardee Prof. C.V. Chandrasekhar. Her training also includes regular sessions with Smt. Jaya Chandrasekhar, Smt. Chitra Chandrasekhar Dasarathy, and Smt. Manjari during her annual visits to Chennai, India. Matsushita performed her Arangetram, a debut solo performance, in Osaka, Japan, in 1997. She is dedicated to promoting Indian classical dance and yoga, serving as a cultural bridge between India and Japan. In addition to her dance pursuits, she is also a yoga and meditation teacher.
