Yvonne Nydegger commenced her Indian classical dance studies in Bharatanatyam at the Nateschwara Akademie in 2003. Under the tutelage of Vijaya Rao, she underwent a comprehensive five-year professional education that included not only dance but also Carnatic music and studies in Sanskrit and Hindi languages. Following the completion of her rigorous training, Nydegger performed her Ranga Pravesha (stage debut) in Bangalore, India, marking a significant milestone in her artistic journey. Since 2008, she has been an active and integral member of the Nateschwara Dance Company. In this capacity, she has participated in numerous productions, notably including the dance drama "Jesus von Nazareth" presented in Bangalore, India, and the "Jaya Ganesha" program showcased at the Nateschwara Theater. Yvonne Nydegger expresses a deep spiritual connection to Bharatanatyam, viewing it as a "danced prayer" that resonates with her soul, clarifies her mind, opens her heart, and gives wings to her spirit. She perceives Bharatanatyam as a path to harmonize body, mind, and soul, and her performances are characterized by a profound sense of balance and aesthetic beauty. Beyond her performance career, she is currently furthering her expertise by attending dance teacher training at the Nateschwara Akademie. Additionally, Yvonne Nydegger has completed meditation teacher training under Anton Tönz, reflecting her holistic approach to well-being and artistic expression.
