Training at Sadanam Kathakali Akademi — Learned Maddalam from Paloor Achuthan Nair at Sadanam Kathakali Akademi.
1960s-1970s (approx)
Further training under various gurus — Trained under Trichur Maniyan Panikkar (Kadavallur School) and Kolamangalath Narayanan Nair, completing 13 years of training.
2001
Received Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award — Awarded for his contributions to performing arts, specifically Maddalam.
