About
Founder and artistic director of Triwat since 2008, he teaches Kathak dance and Indian music. Born into a family of dancers with an eight-generation artistic tradition, he was trained by his father, Pandit Girdhari Maharaj. He taught at Kathak Kendra School in Jaipur and has performed and conducted workshops internationally, including for UNESCO and the Indian Embassy in France. He has received numerous awards, including the 'Ankur Award' (1993), Rajasthan Shree Award (1988), and Nritya Samrat Award (1997, 2008).
