Joined Board of Directors, Women Make Movies — Served on the board of directors of Women Make Movies, a non-profit feminist media distribution organization, from 1997-2006.

Served on Fulbright IIE National Selection committee — Served on the Fulbright IIE National Selection committee for film and video from 2008-2011.
2013
Awarded AAUW postdoctoral fellowship — Awarded an American Association of University Women (AAUW) postdoctoral fellowship towards her book project.

Published "Languid Bodies, Grounded Stances" — Published her book "Languid Bodies, Grounded Stances: The Curving Pathway of Neoclassical Odissi Dance" by Berghahn Books.
