Nina Rajarani MBE is an acclaimed Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer, teacher, and artistic director, recognized for her significant contributions to South Asian dance. She commenced her Bharatanatyam training under Prakash Yadagudde at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's London branch, earning her Diploma in Bharatanatyam in 1986 and staging her Arangetram in 1987.…

Awarded Diploma in Bharatanatyam — From Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's London branch.
1987
Staged Arangetram — Under her guru Prakash Yadagudde.
1988
Began regular training in Chennai — Under Shanta and V.P. Dhananjayan.
1989
Awarded scholarship for intensive training — By the Arts Council of England and ADiTi to train with the Dhananjayans in Chennai.
1991
Founded Srishti – Nina Rajarani Dance School — Based at the Harrow Arts Centre in Middlesex.
1992
Established Srishti – Nina Rajarani Dance Creations — Her touring dance company.
1999
Became founder committee member and Secretary — Of the ISTD's Classical Indian Dance Faculty.
2001
Became senior Bharatanatyam examiner — For the ISTD.
2006
Won The Place Prize — Europe's largest choreographic competition, for her piece 'QUICK!'.
2007
Toured 'Quiet, Please!' — Incorporating the award-winning piece 'QUICK!'.
2009
Awarded MBE — In the Queen's Birthday Honours for Services to South Asian Dance.
2010
Returned to stage — In 'These Are A few Of My Favourite Things' after a three-year hiatus.
2014
Stepped down as Secretary — Of the ISTD's Classical Indian Dance Faculty.
2016
Established Kathak dance classes — At the Srishti – Nina Rajarani Dance School.
