Began Kathakali training — Started training at age 9 under his uncle Chathannur Velu Pillai.
1933
Kathakali debut — Debut performance as Krishna at Velinallur Sree Ramaswamy Temple (approximate year after 6 years of training).
1966
Taught in Singapore — Instructed children in Singapore for six months.
1970
European tour — Toured European countries with the FACT Kathakali troupe.
1986
Received Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award — Awarded by the Government of Kerala.
1989
Received Sangeet Natak Akademi Award — Awarded by the Government of India.
